In a fast-paced, competitive hospitality landscape, it’s far too easy for your brand to get lost amid the chatter. To stand out, hospitality marketers must rethink their strategies. How can you ensure your brand is worth following? Today we share three tips to help make your brand stand out. Let’s get started.

  1. Think Mobile, Social

Most everyone carries around at least one mobile device. As a result, we tend to be easily distracted by the smartwatch or mobile phone that, for the most part, never leaves our sight. All this distraction means that the timing of your marketing strategy is crucial. One of the most common traits among successful brand marketers is their use of social feed-friendly content that captures people’s attention, with searchers quickly migrating from prospects to followers. When offering promotions, such as a last-minute weekend deal, social sites are ideal for time-sensitive engagements. Mobile is also useful for keeping in touch with guests. Using SMS, your brand stays engaged. Mobile is also one of the best mediums to solicit feedback in the form of guest reviews.

  1. Use Keywords & Links

SEO-friendly content helps search engines rank your website high. Although some believe this means their marketing content should be stuffed with keywords, the real purpose is to help search engines find and connect to your brand; ranking your site higher in search engine results. If your website shows up on the first page, you will have more visitor engagement than those sites that show up on subsequent pages. One of the ways search engines rank content is by the number of backlinks they get. To drive traffic and rank your older content higher, you can link to them from newer posts and help search engines find your preferred content.

  1. Share Stories With Images

Nearly 4 out of 5 people follow at least one brand on Twitter, according to a recent report shared by the social media platform. The brands that stand out have distinct personalities. The more people relate to a personality, the more likely they are to follow your brand and help tell your story. People follow you because they want to hear what you have to say, so keep it relatable and exciting. Be sure also to include a way to share your stories. Shareable stories are one of the easiest ways to extend your brand’s reach on social platforms.

Pictures are also essential for making your content engaging and shareable. People are far more likely to choose a brand whose website and posts have attractive and relevant imagery. Optimize the image size. Pictures that are too large will slow down the load time and make your content appear clunky. Resize images to be as small as possible without losing the visibility or quality of the picture

Since the hospitality industry is squarely focused on creating exceptional guest experiences, marketing becomes an integral part of engaging prospective guests and ensuring your brand’s success. To attract followers, your marketing strategy should be consistent across the various channels. Once your followers experience a brand’s personality on a regular basis, they become amenable to suggestive up-selling, which links directly to your bottom line.
